Remote Control
Written by Jesika Feather.
Directed by Dinah Leavitt.

I wrote this play to give myself an opportunity to escape from reality for a little while. Unfortunately, the writing process was a little more difficult than anticipated, forcing me to escape from reality a lot longer than was probably healthy. This becomes evident in the character Lucinda, who experiences some difficulty emerging from the whirlwind of her own mind to face the drab brutality of normalcy. When I began writing Remote Control there was no alien, but Lucinda became so disabled in her efforts to cope with reality that I was forced to throw him in. This appealed to her very much. She got along so well, in fact, that I am inclined to wonder whether her new friend does exist in life or if we are simply viewing another of her reality contortions, one of her many frantic attempts to escape.

~Jesika Feather

13 Short Affairs
Written by Karin Kohlmeier.
Directed by Kathryn Moller.

It is amazing how many connections we would find if we were able to see all of the effects we have on those around us. 13 Short Affairs explores this concept through the portrayal of thirteen encounters between strangers. We see the way in which people become tied together, often through one small factor which may not even be apparent to the characters involved. The events of the play illustrate the idea that each and every action we perform has the potential to make an impact, large or small, on those around us, our society, or even the world.

Claustrophobia
Written by Mark Havenner.
Directed by Ginny Davis.

Two people from from completely different walks of life, trapped in the fast-pased world of New York City, get stuck in an elevator together. Claustrophobia explores people's reactions to each other in a situation where social masks are stripped and they can be nothing but human. This production focuses on the facets of both characters as they confront life's conflicts.
