MARISOL

The guardian angels of New York have been called back to heaven to join the revolution against an old and senile God who is dying. Marisol, a young woman from the Bronx, is left without her guardian angel, alone, on the streets, journeying into this new war zone. Jose Rivera poetically explores the dark absurdities of our current malaise as the masses of homeless and displaced join the angels in a war to save the universe.

INTO THE WOODS
by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.
Directed by Ginny Davis.
In this musical, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood cross paths many times in their adventures into the woods. Along the way they encounter other fairytale characters like Rapunzel and the wicked witch. Sondheim uses the woods as a place in which the rites of passage mark the move from childhood to adulthood. In order to get your wish you go "into the woods."
