Support Fort Lewis College Theatre

The Fort Lewis College Department of Theatre fosters a small, versatile undergraduate performance program. We strive for excellence with every class, workshop, and performance. However, due to limited funding and the ever increasing advancements in theatre technology, it is extremely difficult to keep up with equipment upgrades. In addition, our Theatre Building, constructed in 1958, is showing its age. The seating is uncomfortable, acoustics are below par, and other building improvements are needed.

With competition from Colorado and regional universities, our Department must achieve the highest level of professionalism to attract and retain students. Building improvements, our Guest Artist Series, and our ability to offer a wide variety of scholarships, help to keep us a top choice for students throughout Colorado and the Four Corners Region. Your donation can help our students achieve excellence in their studies, performance, and beyond. Here is how your donation will be used:

  • Guest Artist Series: The Department of Theatre's Guest Artist Series was created to expand student’s knowledge of both specific theatre forms and the theatre industry in general. By connecting with professional artists from the Four Corners Region, the United States, and the World, our program stands apart from other universities allowing our students to acquire knowledge from a wider variety of sources. For more information about our Guest Artist Series click here.

  • Theatre & Performing Arts Scholarships: The Theatre and performing arts scholarships were created to ease the financial burden of our students before and after graduation by paying for a portion of their tuition and books. These scholarships include: Betty Haskell Scholarship, The Gertrude Brown Fine Arts Scholarship, Lyle Howard Theatre Scholarship, and David Berg Scholarship. Click here for more information on Fort Lewis College Theatre Scholarships.

  • Capital Improvements: Donations for capital improvements are used to maintain our building and equipment.

All donations to the Department of Theatre must be made through the Fort Lewis College Foundation to be considered tax exempt. If you would like to make a gift please contact:
